The frequency and severity of drug tests is determined by your case, history, level of offense, and parole or probation officer. Additionally, there are a number of situations in which someone may be asked to submit the results of a probation drug test in New Jersey.

Usually, if you have been given probation by a judge or jury, you will have to take either a drug test or an alcohol test. These are standards set forth by law to demonstrate your commitment to abstaining from alcohol and other unlawful drugs.

What test do I need?

Your probation officer will advise you on what tests you need to order and may request particular testing panels. Blood, hair, or urine samples are frequently used by courts to check for drug use.
